Youth Service
WE HAVE A DEDICATED YOUTH SERVICE TEAM
Since March 2020 South Swindon Parish Council has had a dedicated youth service, supporting young people in the South Swindon Parish with their personal and social development.
The council runs three youth clubs which are located at The Base in Park North, Eastcott Community Centre and Badbury park community hub.
We are currently planning this years residential trip to Condover Hall in Shropshire, as last year had proved to be a great success.
A youth gardening project will be launching as soon as the GAP community garden in Park South. The raised flower beds are now in place, and the seating area looks amazing. This project will run on a Saturday morning. If you are interested, please drop an email to youthwork2@southswindon-pc.gov.uk.
You can often find the youth team at community events and fun days accross the parish throughout the events season. See the events listing for details.
Engaging with young people in the parish and encouraging them to achieve their goals is an important priority of South Swindon Parish.
Our Youth Clubs
The Parish Council provides young people with a safe place to spend their spare time which remains at the heart of what we do. All our youth clubs are supported with a team of DBS checked and trained volunteers also help to plan and deliver sessions. If you know a young person who would be interested in any of the youth clubs, simply drop us an email at youthwork2@southswindon-pc.gov.uk

South Swindon Youth Club
The Parish Council operates a youth club at The Base in Park North for ages 11-16 yrs. The youth club runs every Tuesday evening between 6.30pm – 8.30pm.

Badbury Park Youth Club
The Parish Council launched a new youth club at the Badbury Park Community Hub for ages 11-16yrs. The youth club runs every Thursday evening between 5:30pm – 7:00pm.

New Youth Space Opening Soon
The parish council will soon be opening a new youth space at the Broadgreen Community Centre on Thursday evenings between 5:30pm – 7:00pm.

The GAP youth gardening project
The Parish Council will soon be launching a gardening project at The GAP Community Gardening. We currently have 4 raised beds which are almost ready for plants. The beds will consist of flowers, salad, vigtables and herbs. This group will be invitation only. If you are interested, please email youthwork2@southswindon-pc.gov.uk

Volunteers
Our parish run youth clubs, events and projects are supported by volunteers. If you have a couple of hours to spare each week and would be interested in being part of the volunteering team, we would love to hear from you. A DBS check and training will be provided.
