The Strungout Ukuleles

Live Music Playing at the Town Gardens Bandstand.

 

On Sunday the 12th of April, from 3pm – 5pm, at the Town Gardens Bandstand, we have playing: The Strungout Ukuleles.

 

They’re a ukulele band from North Wiltshire that play great sounds of the 50s, 60s, and 70s. They play tunes we all love and can sing along to.

 

It’s free to attend. No need to book, just bring your family and friends, and enjoy the music with us.

Who is the Community Gardener?

The Community Gardener supports various community gardens within South Swindon parish, either through maintenance or by providing guidance and support. They combine horticultural expertise with community engagement, working closely with Residents, Volunteers, Councillors and Council staff to develop beautiful spaces that help make South Swindon a better place for us all to live.

What is a Community Garden?

Community gardens are shared outdoor spaces that belong to the community. They can vary from raised beds and landscaped areas, to communal allotment sites and designated gardening areas.

What about Broadgreen Community Park?

The Broadgreen Community Park sits within the boundary of Broadgreen Community Centre, offering a range of facilities such as a Multi-Use Games Arena, Play Park and Picnic amenities. The Park also boasts a variety of beds, boarders and planting schemes which really brighten up the area for local park users and residents.

Broadgreen Christmas Tree Switch-On – Tuesday 21st November

Everyone is welcome to join us switch-on the Christmas tree at Broadgreen Community Centre, on the basketball courts and hosted by the Southy Swindon Parish Council.

Rhythmix Goa will sing for us in a choir and food will be provided by the Harbour Project. We have story books available for everyone for free, provided by Swindon stories.
